To create an FTP account in cPanel, you can follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to your cPanel account. This can usually be done by accessing your domain with “/cpanel” added to the end (e.g., www.example.com/cpanel) or through the hosting provider’s control panel.

Step 2: Once you are logged in to cPanel, scroll down or use the search bar to find the “FTP Accounts” option and click on it. This will take you to the FTP Accounts page.

Step 3: On the FTP Accounts page, you will see a section labeled “Add FTP Account.” Fill in the required information in the available fields:

  • Log In: Enter the desired username for your FTP account. This will also determine the FTP account’s login credentials.
  • Domain: Select the domain associated with the FTP account from the drop-down menu.
  • Directory: Specify the directory you want the FTP account to have access to. You can either choose the domain’s root directory or a specific folder within it.
  • Password and Password (Again): Enter a secure password for the FTP account and confirm it by entering it again in the second field.

Step 4: Optional: You can adjust the FTP account’s disk space quota or leave it as “Unlimited” if desired.

Step 5: Once you have filled in the necessary details, click on the “Create FTP Account” button to create the FTP account.

Step 6: After the FTP account is created, you will see a confirmation message with the account details, including the FTP server, port, username, and the path to the FTP directory.

You have now successfully created an FTP account in cPanel. You can use the provided login credentials to access your FTP account using an FTP client software or any other FTP-compatible application.
